Project Coordinator
Sports University of Tirana
The Sports University Of Tirana is the only higher education institution of its kind in the Republic of Albania. The University realizes the full scientific qualification of specialists in physical education and sports, recreation and rehabilitation up to the level of “Master of Sciences” and “Doctor of Science”. The genesis of the Sports University of Tirana began with the establishment of the Technical School of Physical Education in 1948, as the first high school to prepare future physical education teachers. After 10 years, in 1958 the Higher Education Institute of Physical Education was established.
Sports University of Tirana is involved in different European Projects in Higher Education and Sports in order to improve the learning and teaching process and also conducting scientific research. Sports University of Tirana is the highest-ranked university, according to the accreditation agency of higher education in Albania (SUT is accreted from an international board with the max of years, 6 years).

Universitas. Science Knowledge and Innovation SL (SPAIN)
Operates on a global scale since its establishment in 2022. Despite its nascent stage akin to a start-up, UNIVERSITAS serves as a pivotal nexus within a collaborative framework encompassing Spanish and international academies, alongside research and innovation entities. At the heart of this consortium, UNIVERSITAS plays a crucial role by facilitating connections to distinguished experts across various domains and bolstering their endeavours with our profound expertise in executing international ventures. Our entity is dedicated to orchestrating the conception and fruition of scientific and innovative initiatives in concert with both national and international collaborators, predominantly sponsored by the European Union in addition to private sector funding. UNIVERSITAS acts as a conduit between scientific inquiry and technological advancement, leveraging an internal cadre of APP developers and scholars to address societal challenges through an empirical lens and crafting bespoke technological solutions. Our establishment is adept in contributing extensive knowledge within the research domain, offering both seasoned and emerging specialists across a spectrum of subjects, as well as in the customization of technological solutions, software and mobile APPs. Despite being a relative newcomer with no direct experience in applying for or participating in EU funding schemes, the personnel at UNIVERSITAS collectively possess over a decade of experience in managing Erasmus+ and Horizon projects.
Ministry of Education and Sport of Albania (ALBANIA)
The Ministry of Education and Sports designs and implements policies aimed at ensuring a quality education system, the perspective development of education, respecting the interests of the individual, the community and society and equipping them with the necessary knowledge to meet the demands of market economy, in line with national and European priorities; creation, transmission, development and protection of knowledge through teaching, protection of human rights, diversity, research and services.
This Institution drafts and implements:
- Policies for the development of scientific research and innovation, in support of the country’s development policies.
- Policies aimed at ensuring the participation of young people in social and school life.
- Develops programs and coordinates the work for national policies in the field of sports, inclusiveness, gender balance protection, cultural integration, drafts protection and promotional policies, as well as creates the necessary spaces for the development and improvement of Albanian sports.
As a governmental institution, drafting and leading and implementing state policies in the field of sports, MES is the main initiator of legal initiatives, the drafter of strategic documents and the leader of many national projects, which materialize governmental priorities, including the protection and promotion of gender equality in sport. MES leads the implementation of the «All in one» project, which is supported by EPAS, the Council of Europe platform dedicated to sports, where Albania is a member, represented by the Ministry of Education and Sports. MES is also the coordinator of «Eu4Youth, European Week of Sport Beyond Borders, in Western Balkans» a Project financially supported by the European Commission.
European Network for Innovation and Knowledge (The Netherlands)
The European Network for Innovation and Knowledge is a Foundation based in the Netherlands but working internationally. EUNIK has been formed by higher education and R&D experts, with more than 15 years’ experience working in the international field and with EU Grants management. The organisation’s goals are:
● The design and implementation of Research & Development activities, as well as to promote competition with regard to public funding calls;
● The promotion and implementation of activities and actions to promote digitalisation in the field of education, culture and sport.
● To encourage international network cooperation between institutions, especially European, profit, and non-profit institutions that require support for the digitalisation of their activities.
● To provide support services for the network members, associates, and stakeholders.
● To bring Educational Management and Innovation know-how to the organisations.
